It has not been the best of days today.
Woke up to find I had a flat tyre with a bloody great nail in it.
Went to tyre fitters and got it mended. Drove back to office and heard a hissing noise when I got out of the car. Pinhole leak in hose leading to heater matrix. Phoned my mechanic who was out.
Spoke to other mechanic near my office who looked at it, said he could move the car into his workshop, chop the end of the hose and reconnect it whilst I ordered a new one.
Drove home feeling relieved. Turned into my lane which is a narrow single track road. Changed up from second to third and could not select any gear. Can now only move car if I put it into gear with the engine off and then start engine. Had new clutch about 10000 miles ago and always treat it gently.
Now totally pissed off and going to have a beer!
