Something has caught my eye. A 70s sub. What do they go for price wise?

Depends on the model, condition, whether it's all original.
Pics, man, pics! wink
As a rough guesstimate, somewhere around £1400-1900 for a reasonable one in decent condition, the top end of that may just get you into one with B&Ps.

I have one shortly coming up for sale... whistle

I'm in two minds whether to post a pic of it up as its one of the more rarer ones. To be fair I've not check if it has B+P's. The price is just north of £2000.

Why are you worried about sticking a pic up?
Presumably it's a Snowflake?

Lol I've always been cagey the amount of times in the past I've phoned mates to say I've seen a pair of one off Nikes only for them to snake me at the till I've learnt to be a bit reserved.

Yes its a snowflake. Looks quite good condition. Reputable site. But has engraving on the back presumably by someone in the forces.

Fair enough. smile
To be honest, I'm not that familiar with Snowflakes, but unless it were a minter I'd suggest they were asking strong money!
If it had B&Ps that'd be fine or recent RSC work. Otherwise I'd say it was too dear.

I'd say the price was dealer price for a good/v. good condition. Not sure whether B&P/P make too much difference with this one at this age, but always preferable I suppose.

You should expect a good example with a year warranty for 2.2k I think, although as with anything, someone will take it at that price so you have to decide if it's you or whether a cheaper one is around the corner.
There's a selection at around that price-point on chrono24, which to mind is fairly consistently + 10% on UK dealers and perhaps a nudge more than ones sold privately, on TZ-UK etc.
Other details may be relevant to the price also - is it blue or black dial, what's the engraving (initials or traceable?) What is the 'military' provenance etc etc.

It's a classic mind you. Very nice watch indeed. I'd love a lollipop handed one one day. (Although a cheaper Titus Sub may be an alternative).

I have a Tudor Sub - 70s model. Snowflake. Bought it at auction
(Bonhams) plus fees plus service and I guess it cost me £1400 in total. I love it so much so i fear i will wear it out! I have a newer Rolex too, but it feels too big and chunky and just not as nice to wear. I have a couple of other 70s automatic watches that I also like a lot.

Well this one has a name on it. Not really fussed. I'm assuming its the soldier's name who originally owned it. For sheer geek status I may if purchased do some research on the guy.

It's also blue dial if that makes a difference. This is going back to my thread a few months back about wanting a new blue faced watch.
