Evening all,

I thought I'd venture in here - don't view 'Watches' much.

My mother bought a Longines watch 7-8 years ago. As she no-longer uses it (ill health, which won't improve frown), we are looking to sell it.

We have the watch, box, links however I cannot find the sodding papers (as her Dementia was developing she had a habbit of moving and 'organising' things!).

Is there any way you guys can think of how I can show its genuine?

(Do I give the impression my knowledge in this area is lacking? wink)

Any help is warmly received.

Take it to a local jeweller for a valuation, they will be able to authenticate the watch and give you paperwork.

Could you send it for a service? it won't be cheap but it will come back with some paperwork.

Take it to a jeweller who is a Longines authorised dealer and if they can't authenticate it for you, they should know a man who can.

Cheers chaps!

I'll pop to a dealer during the week.
