First "real" watch. Suggestions?
Discussion
Hi,
For about 18 months i have been salivating over this, 'tis perfection in my eyes, but I can't justify the 2 and bit grand i would need to find to own it. http://www.thewatchgallery.co.uk/tag-heuer-carrera...
However, in the mean time, my wrist is looking somewhat plain, so any suggestions for something with some of the class of the TAG, without the price? Looking at up to £500 I Guess?
Thanks in advance.

If you can push your budget to around £700-800, then I'd look at an Oris, more specifically the Williams F1 range. Oris are highly regarded for producing high quality watches at an affordable price. The F1 series incorporated an ETA automatic movement with display back and sapphire crystal glass

Alternatively, have a look at Hamilton (http://www.hamiltonwatch.com/) and Christopher Ward (http://www.christopherward.co.uk/) ...
Are you after a chronograph watch? Strap or bracelet? Sports or dress? Any other features to narrow down your search?

Crono Is a preference, but not a necessity. However I'm not a fan of straps, would need to be silver/steel/titanium style bracelet .
I'm picky on the feel of watches, I like minimal fuss, not too big but not fairly chunky. It can be complicated, but can't "shout" if that makes sense, I don't like really loud watches . That's why I like the tag, it would only really be noticed by someone who actually likes watches, the rest of the time no-one is going to look twice at it. Apart from me of course.
To give a frame of reference (but not in my budget currently) i also like;

But, i don't like this much...

See what I mean by fussy..
The c7 previously mentioned looks like a nice bit of kit though, its growing on my the more I look at it.

Keep em coming, i didn't know Christopher Ward existed until just now..
