As the lotty numbers havent come up yet for my blancpain purchase - Took a bit of a shine to the chopard Mille miglias recently online and wondered if anyone had Any experience of ownership? I haven't actually seen one in the flesh yet as there are no local dealers. It's a pretty basic ETA movement by the looks of it but they do look well made (although a tyre pressure gauge in the box is marketing gone mad lol!).

This is probably my fave...I've got a few chronographs so want t go for a more understated look. Not sure if I like the White or black face

I've owned this one (but with a black face). A good looking and well made watch, I always regret selling it when I see someone else wearing one!
I think I'd buy pre-owned if I ever got another, because I lost a fair chunk of cash on it despite paying below list. The rubber 'Dunlop' strap is really comfortable. Go for it!

Thanks mate, I do like that one you had ! Ironically they seem to go or less cash than the non chrono ones ? Yes, I'd be buying second hand. Just need to try one for size as I have girls wrists lol !

Which one are you after?

If you're thinking new Chopard, I suspect a pre-owned Blancpain isn't truly out of reach...would it not be better to wait a little longer to get what you want rather than get further away from the objective by dropping coin on depreciation?

I got outbid on a gtxl like madt350's last week at 1900. As I say I've got skinny wrists but just get away (I hope!) with my panerai luminor Marina -mad - would you say the chopard comes up a similar size ? Found local dealers in bath and Cheltenham so will get over at some stage - but will still look to buy 2nd hand.

Only downside is I googled imaged chopard Mille miglia and the pictures of knob head supremo simon cowell came up - he's a big fan apparently ! Lol!

Hi

I have one similar to your second link but with black face.

Very nice watch but it doesn't wear as well say a Submariner as a "daily driver".

I get many positive comments about it though and the strap is very cool.

It keeps time fine too.

Cheers

I have one of the Mille Miglia's like Number31 posted..bought it the year this 'new' style was launched, 2007 IIRC. It's a pretty large watch, but it looks so modern that I think it gets away with it, 42mm 'classically' styled watches don't work at all if you've got skinny wrists IMHO. (all my watches on straps are on the tightest fitting) and this is 44mm!
Lovely looking watch, you do feel the movement spinning on the bugger though..lots of space in the case I suspect LOL
