Marina Militare
Discussion
I'm pretty enthusiastic about purchasing one or two of these little beauties (not everyones cup of tea, I know)
I like these ones:

Anyway, my question is that I've found a (Chinese?) site that sells these called www.dajiwatch.com Just wondered if anyone has bought from them before. Are they a trusted seller? Is the service generally good?
Thanks

I got a Marina militare earlier this year as I wanted to see if a Panerai would look silly on my girl like wrists. It's a 44mm case so not small but looks okay. I don't think I can justify the 3k odd that a Panerai would set me back as I think there are better watches out there for the money.

You've found a website in China and you're asking if it's a trusted seller!! Get a grip man, how likely do you think that is!
Richard.
Which is why he asked.Richard.
Tat at Getat watches is very well trusted, if a bit slow at times.
Don't buy a MM, they are a bit iffy to flip and you are wandering into a whole copyright debate.
Buy a sterile dial, and if you don't like it you can easily sell it for a minimal loss to someone who can't wait for delivery.
I'm aware that the sterile dial models still rip off the crown protector copyright, but it's the MM dial that's the big issue methinks.

Sound advice right there.Tat at Getat watches is very well trusted, if a bit slow at times.

What is the issue with the MM face? Looking at the pictures the only difference seems to be the writing.. which says "Marina Militare" in any case..?The reason I ask is that I am currently hanging my nose over this one:
It looks nice, is supposedly water proof, appears to have a decent movement and only costs £75..

The "Marina Militare" is owned by Panerai; some well-loved websites won't let you sell them on there if they have that inscription. The amusing thing is, Marina Militare is just Italian for navy. So, you could have Italian Navy on your MM fake instead.
It's the Panerai Nazis that started the whole banning 'MM' on the dial isn't it?They're a bunch of cretins IMO.

I think it's more that Panerai have a good legal team...They're a bunch of cretins IMO.
I appreciate that Panerai have a vested interest in copyright infringement of their design(s) (although as mentioned, no idea how having that printed on the dial can possibly be a copyright?!) but it's the Paneristi (read Nazis...
