My wife has hinted that she would like a new watch, and I’d like to buy here one. Here is the criteria (she has simple tastes!):

- Budget of £300ish (I think this puts me into upper end quartz, perhaps even lower end mechanical range? Although quartz might not be a bad bet, as she won’t be into the watch appreciation side of it all, and might go days without wearing it). Budget can stretch for something exceptional.
- She is small, so case size of 30mm or smaller
- White face, no chrono functions, date preferred
- Hour markers to be actual numbers, rather than roman numerals or hour ‘dots’ (she’s a primary school teacher so I think the numbers appeal to her to show the kids the time)
- Leather strap, femine looking, preferably brown leather, with some form of ‘texture’ as a bonus (we saw THIS Fossil watch in the shop window she liked that had a woven pattern, but the strap was too chunky for her wrist)
- Preferably no bling

I saw THIS one earlier on, but I’m not sure if it is too masculine looking (even though it is listed as a women’s watch) – but it is on the right lines

Any more ideas folks?
Thanks in advance
Iain

Rather under budget, but these citizens fit the bill (last two):

Eco-drive too so doesn't even need battery changes, just light.
