Glasses.

When ah were a lad, you went to the opticians, he made you look at things, he wrote some numbers down, you chose some fairly awful frames, you waited four weeks, and the deal was done. You got your specs and your wallet considerably lightened, he got another holiday/Aston/etc. The sheer cost of the things (I used to spend £100 on the lenses and then another £400ish on the frames) meant that you wore them until they dropped off your face.

But for me those days are gone. I have a very simple prescription - +0.5 SPH in each eye - and so I've developed a habit. Internet glasses-buying. From Hong Kong.

Fifty quid delivered with prescription lenses and I have them on my face right now - they're comfy and look great.

I now want some of these and wouldn't say no to these. Like watches, they're something I wear for a significant portion of every day, and so I think it's important that they look and feel good.

Oh, stting hell. Look what's at the bottom of the page. A link to a veritable Aladdin's cave of watch bits.

I seriously just got out of the shower thinking I should buy a new strap for a Sportura I have inbound, and the Monster could be treated to a new silicon job too.

You're ace.
