How the Hell did that happen...?
Discussion
Ok, not exactly the end of the world, but I've just put on my beater G and noticed a grazed glass. Thing is, I'm pretty sure that it wasn't there 24h ago and I've been doing nothing that could have caused it, I think.... The glass sits a couple of mill below the bezel as well....
Like a mystery bruise or a cut you don't feel until you see blood, how the Hell did that happen??

Gives it character. Shame you weren't out on Everest or saving a child from a roadside bomb in Karkand or infiltrating Dr Evil's HQ when it happened.
That's exactly it.... If it'd been done in the throws of some heroic feat then a war wound would be kinda cool, catching it unknowingly doing something mundane is a bit crap, really

There's only one thing for it, then...

"So I was working with Médecins Sans Frontières in Afghanistan when I spotted an IED that was about to go off. There was a 5 year old girl standing a few metres away so I rushed over to protect her from the blast. When it went off, the blast was so strong that we were catapulted to the summit of Cho Oyu (8,201 metres above sea level, one of the highest mountains in the Himalayas, don't you know) and we had to climb down through treacherous landscapes of icey passages and hidden crevaces. Having made it to the relative safety of the lowlands, I had to fight through hordes of corrupt Chinese soldiers before eventually, 3 months later, returning the little girl to her parents. At some point, I got this little graze on my watch - a memento of my heroic bravery, if you will."
Now commit that to memory.
Now commit that to memory.
