Emergency !! Emergency !!
Discussion
I noticed that on your wrist at the pub meet (Empress of Blandings) a while ago Daniel, meant to say very nice but forgot, I'm normally found wearing a B of some description!
Owned a couple of Emergency's in the past, a yellow dial and a coral dial, thinking of picking up a coral dial again, would match the roof on my car!

Mate, he has lot's of NOS models I'd love, I'd be bankrupt in a week if I stepped in there! Good place to deal with though, sent a work mate his way for one of the last Blackbirds in the country, got a nice Breitling T-shirt for passing him the trade.Stef

I'm currently looking for an Emergency Professional.
The local AD said they'd been discontinued earlier in the year and they are waiting for a new model with a frequency change.
Don't know how true this is.
The company that produced the transmitter have stoped making them, hence the Emergency being discontinued. The 121.5 Mhz is still in action as a distress signal. The local AD said they'd been discontinued earlier in the year and they are waiting for a new model with a frequency change.

He was hinting there would be a new version out under a new frequency. Perhaps the 402Mhz. But I didn't think there were any transmitters that would be suitable. I know they have turned off some of the 121.5Mhz stuff, but it is still a monitored and searched frequency.

I'm sure I read somewhere that there was rumour that the Emergency may move to 243 (which is UHF, as opposed to the current VHF one).
It'll be interesting to see if it's brought back in.

I refer to my earlier post about Andrew Michaels having some NOS Emergencies The local AD said they'd been discontinued earlier in the year and they are waiting for a new model with a frequency change.
