Soviet Era Watches
Discussion
Does anyone else have any Soviet watches?
I've a 24hr movement Raketa that my wife gave me as a wedding present and apart from the sentimental value, I really like the quirky-ness of it, similar to this one

I've also got a Raduga (Радуга) from the Tschistopolsky Watch Factory circa 1960 similar to

but with a cream face
and a Chaika "Motorcycle" watch similar to

but in an Austin Allegro style quartic face rather than round - I'm trying to find out a bit more about this one, whether the motorbike/rider are significant in any way.
They're fairly cheap to come by on fleabay and the like and I quite like the uniqueness of them in the UK, and if they're not unique I still have fun confusing people with the 24hr face

My NOS Rateka. I very rarely wear it but can't bring myself to sell it - love the face colour, raised numbers, minute markers, hands and the fact it ticks like a time bomb but the strap's poor and tapers to such an extent that it looks a little girly, should be an easy fix though. It's also my only watch that is purely a hand wind.
