Sorry, another what watch....
Discussion
I have decided that it is time to adorn my wrist with something shiny and new.
My current watch is a Seiko coutura world timer, but I am looking at going a bit more upmarket.
A couple of things have caught my eye.
Chopard Mille Miliga one of these two seem nice

Or a Breitling Emergency, I am quite taken with the idea of being trackable in an emergency as I do a fair bit of off piste skiing.

Obviously you guys are far more versed in watches than I, so I hand it over to you to find me my new timepiece!
Budget dependent on the reaction it stirs within!

At that price (£2K right?) you could look at a Seamaster Professional, Speedmaster Moon landing watch (where my money would go) Not sure you'd get either new, possibly close with a bit of discount from an AD?
IWC aquatimer and plenty more also on the second hand market. It's a good price bracket I think.

Do you have any specific criteria?
Chronograph? Bracelet or strap? Size? Dress/Sport?
Tag Heuer Grand Carrera RS17 - S/H, but in excellent condition for £2450.00: http://www.watchclub.com/w2841/tag-heuer-grand-car...

Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean - RRP £2650.00, but 10-15%+ discount is achieveable!

Sinn Duo Chronograph 756 - RRP £1700.00 on DLC bracelet

(Left field suggestion) Anonimo Chronoscopio Mark II - Around £2.5K:

Got my Seamaster Pro Coaxial 300m for £1800 at the start of the year, brand new from Goldsmiths. RRP was about £2050 at the time. I'm sIWC aquatimer and plenty more also on the second hand market. It's a good price bracket I think.

A Breitling Emergency is not want you want for off piste skiing. If you're in the middle of the Sahara or Atlantic etc then it's a useful tool but there are better, cheaper options and for off piste skiing you want a specific beacon, operating at the correct frequency (that isn't 121.5MHz). If you want an Emergency buy one but it simply isn't a replacement for a specific beacon on either 121.5 or 243MHz and defintely not for 406MHz.
I sat with Breitling reps in around 1991 and offered to test the then new Emergency watches from a Nimrod aircraft (that I used to fly) and were the UK's main long-range SAR asset. When I explained the test methodology they politely declined! I should say that I'm not in any way anti-Breitling - I own one amongst other watches.
