Overstock.com- dumb idea? Baume & Mercier purchase...

I need a new beater & this Baume & Mercier Hampton Open is rather nice, and keenly priced. Will I find the Nigerians enjoying my money? Or the tax man on import??

Alternatively, is this Frederique Constant good value? I'd stick a leather strap on it but that's a personal preference.

I typed 'Overstock.com' into Google and the third autocomplete entry was 'Overstock.com scam' - I'd personally stay well away from them!

I've ordered quite a bit of stuff of overstock.com, never had a problem. No watches though, and nothing more than a couple of hundred $ worth.

I'm in the US though, your results may vary.

Not for me this time, I need a few days of NOT buying watches!! A mate is looking for the Blue Tag Monaco (Steve McQueen), they list at £2850 down from £3600 on the high street and claim to still offer the 2 year Tag warranty...
