Been looking for a nice evening/event watch to compliment my daily (G-Shock GW2500-1AER) and I rather like the Citizen Skyhawk A-T - like the GS its a solar-powered atomic, it looks good (to me at least) and felt good on my wrist when I tried one on at the local H. Samuels.

Anyone have much experience of these or recommend any alternatives? Also where would be best to buy one from?

I have the titanium version and it's a great watch, the solar power and atomic timekeeping are handy. I really like the easy way you can flip between timezones with the press of two buttons.

The titanium one is great as it's light and wears extremely comfortably.

This is my second, I sold the first and regretted it and ended up buying another in New York.

Have a good browse around on the web for one, the prices of these have risen but I'm sure you'll get one at a reasonable price somewhere.

I got one of these (SkyHawk AT Titanium Blue Angels - USA version) in June as another daily wearer http://www.ernestjones.co.uk/webstore/d/6522017/ci... - very impressed...

I've had a skyhawk for the last 2 years and I've worn it everyday it's been a great watch. I've managed to scratch the front but only by leaving it in my bike tank bag next to my keys (stupid) on a 600 mile journey. Its big, but not massive. It has a good weight to it and it looks good. I've no desire to change it.

I got mine imported from the states. It was a lot cheaper!

Im thinking of buying a Citizen AT, but I REALLY want the Red Arrows edition. My only reservation is the Red Arrows edition is stainless steel yet the similarly Blue Angel edition is Titanium (I believe).

Opinions of stainless steel edition over titanium?

I tried the stainless steel Red Arrows version as I really wanted that one but found it a little heavy especially compared to the titanium one I had before so I ended up waiting and picked up another titanium one as mentioned above.

Best thing is to find a high street retailer selling both and try both on and see what you think.

Well, I tried both on today. Whilst the titanium was much lighter holding them in each hand, on the wrist the stainless felt good.

As I said, really wanted the Red Arrows one and so walked out the shop now the owner of one smile

Here's mine , had it 3 years and cannot fault it . Nice weight to it , very comfy and the bonus of never having to set the time or change the battery !
