Have a look through the TAG Heuer range, I'm guessing that it was one of the Carrera/Grand Carreras

Yep, it was the Tag Heuer Carrera 1887 chronograph in black.

Very nice...

A bit off topic but I've recently noticed Brundle wearing a Richard Mille. Doesn't look the type of guy who would wear a watch like that.

O/T but I read that Coulthard was a Richard Mille Ambassador so possibly they have added Brundle too

Richard Mille is all over F1, some you dont see as some are contracted to wear others on TV. Button has two RM watches, seen quite a few pics of him wearing them out on the town etc. Schuy has several, massa obviously does, coulthard indeed does...RM is pretty much the quintessential F1 watch, I think if everyone in F1 wore theirs at the next GP you would be amazed at the amount on show.
TAGs & Hamiltons etc, yes well you can see why the drivers are contracted to wear them, the association is a real seller...but dont be fooled, dont think there is many multi millionaire drivers that wear what you see other than on race day.
Fast cars & expensive watches pretty much go together..it seems most drivers like a high tech ££££ piece or two, and why not indeed!
Agree though I was quite surprised to see Brundel wearing one, especially an RM11 which is a bit of a big beast

Brundle is a very, very wealthy man. Certainly wealthy enough.

I've handled an RM a couple of times. Always amazed by how light and compact they feel in the flesh. I really didn't "get" them until I handled one.

My surprise at Brundel wearing one was nothing to do with his wealth level, it just suprised me he would chose one, especially the Singapore ltd edition, as its got quite a bright red bezel, thats an acquired taste.
Yes they are light, well the titanium ones are anyway, but they are still quite big watches for a daily wearer, the 11 is a very thick watch.

Isn't the Singapore edition from the FM range? confused I find that quite odd, unless it was a gift from Massa laugh

I love this watch, I think it looks absolutely great- the finish is superb, and the 1887 is Tag's own movement, hence the retail is about £2700 (give or take a fiver).

I forget where i saw it, but there was an interview with Brundle and he listed the few things he never travels without. His RM was one of them.

Why would you find it odd that its from the FM range?....many of the RM watches are noted as 'FM'...indeed the RM11 is noted as an RM11-FM think its a nod really to him helping test them and indeed he wears them whilst driving etc.
Nice to know Martin values it so highly!
