Buying from Phillipines or Thailand through Ebay?

Its where I remember loads of fakes come from, so is buying something like this:

You better know your Seiko divers. There are a few guides online about spotting fake Seikos.

The listing states it has an aftermarket face and strap. The bezel will be an aftermarket job too.

I'd pass on that.

I bought a vintage job from India on the bay of E once. The face was repainted awfully, the strap was imitation leather, it was impossible to regulate, and the crown came off in a week. It took around 7 weeks to come.

I would give this a miss - too much to go wrong and how do you sort it out if there is a problem?
