Curious auction

I have been watching this auction on ebay (now finished) out of curiosity.

I assumed that the watch, which the photos show to be marked Patek Philippe although it is not described as such in the listing, to be a fake. However the final price puzzles me, I would have thought it was far too much for a fake and far too little for even a non working genuine PP.

Is it real and someone got a hell of a bargain or fake and someone got fleeced?
