This is weird.......

I have a Marina Militare Chronograph which I purchased last year from Manbushijie (very good service by the way..).

I returned from a weeks holiday yesterday and this morning thought I'd put it on only when I opened the drawer where it is kept, the glass is missing from the face next to the watch. It has come off almost in one go save for the bit at the top where it has cracked and left a bit on the watch.

Now, I know it was in one piece before I went away. The kids were with me so I know it wasn't one of them and no-one had access to the house. It looks like the glass has been subjected to pressure from the inside which has caused the glass to crack and pop out.

I am at a loss to explain it.

Does the PH watch massive have any ideas?

Heat expansion and contraction because the crystal was the wrong size for the case ie too tight?
