Hey guys,

Need some advice, need to ship a high value (circa £35k) item to mainland europe. Item is jewellery, not a watch.

Mainstream postal services say they cant insure the item, who do you use and who's my best shot to get this done? Who do the jewellers and ebay people use when selling high value small items?

Cheers for any advice

If it was me I'd jump on a plane and hand deliver it for the relatively small cost involved.

Hi Simma,

I've little experience of sending high value goods to EU. However, my colleagues that do, use 'ParcelPro'.

Alternatively, I'm sure that you've the margin in a £35k sale to fly over in person. This would be my choice...

Thanks for the above.

It's not a sale, it's an item I own that needs to go back for some work, and I've left it in the UK with family. Item is damaged and needs to be repaired.

I live in Dubai and only had a day in the UK to drop it off, thought it would be safer to send from the UK than Dubai. Will look into that link, cheers.

No-one.

I would never entrust anything like that with any firm.

Imagine the enbuggerance if it does go missing.

We use these regularly for transportation of our jewellery (family business), 100% you can trust them. Sending into the millions of pounds you will have no problems.

Kazino,

Many thanks for your help with these names, I managed to arrange delivery with Malca Amit. For reference of anyone interested, it cost £300 with full insurance for the shipment door to door, which whilst not cheap at least safeguards the items and provides peace of mind.

Cheers.
