I recently purchased a Parnis Power Reserve. It seems to be running 10 seconds fast per day consistently.

Is it possible to improve on this ? I know the watch was as cheap as chips and in fairness can't expect it to perform as well as a Swiss made chronometer, but I do like the watch.

An independent watch repairer might regulate it for you.

That's not bad at all though, especially for the money.

I never use my watch to check the time, that's why I can buy cheap ones and not care! There is always the time somewhere - Car, laptop at work, mobile phone on the TV. etc, etc.

So true, but it's like a stone chip once you know it's there !!!

10 seconds is nothing, thats almost COSC standards. Unless you do it yourself it won't be worth paying someone to do it.
You will probably be better off experimenting with lying it in different positions overnight - this may bring it back in line

Depending on how long you have had it, it may change over time as well (settle in) and also summer to winter - for 10 secs its not worth the hassle.

Only had it a month so suppose it is early days. I have tried briefly leaving it lying in different positions overnight, but will probably do this over a period of time to see if it helps.

As you say 10 seconds a day is probably pretty decent anyway, bearing in mind there are 86,400 seconds in a day !

Try lying it flat at night. My mrs wore mine the other day and (aside from being a loose fit) she said it was very comfy. Although it had stopped due to lack of use so she had to get it going manually first.

Mine runs 5 minutes a day fast, so you look like you have a good one

Anyone got the Bell & Ross "homage" one? Thinking of pulling the trigger as a precursor to the real thing.
