I have one that has not run for 20+ years, was passed down to me by my Dad so would like to get it working, is it economical to repair? Obviously it will depend on what is wrong but a ball park figure would help.

How long is a piece of string?

A service could be as little as £60 by the likes of http://www.rytetimewatchrepairs.co.uk/

or if the watch needs loads of new bits it could be several hundred. If you can, get the case back off & see what the movement looks like. If it's a corroded mess it's probably beyond economical repair.
