Evening all,

I have a few questions on the above watches:

I need my 2004 Rolex Submariner serviced and cleaned. Does anyone know the approx wait for this?

I require a new battery for my Tag F1 watch. Does the watch have to be sent back to Tag?

Today I saw a Bernhard H. Mayer Chronomax. Does anyone know the cost of this watch? Is there a wait list/premium on this watch.

Thanks in advance.

I believe the wait for a Rolex service is considerable. I will be sending mine to Russell Talerman who has just done a superb service on a Breitling Evolution for me. It looks like new again. I had to wait 5 weeks for the service. He specialises in Rolex.

Only if you want the full waterproof pressurisation guarantee.
If not, a fiver while you wait at your local jewellers.
(Took my wife's TAG in on Monday).

Not true, plenty of watchmakers out there can do pressure testing.
Your typical jewellers that can do a battery change are unlikely to however and hence can't guarantee the watch as waterproof.

As your Sub is now 7 years old I'd go for a Kings Lynn (prev. Bexley) service. My last one was 16 weeks but I believe this is down to about 6/10 now.

Creation Watches sell a range of Bernhard H. Mayer watches, although they do not list the Chronomax. Prices are between £550 and £1500. There doesn't seem to be much mention of the brand on the Internet, nor does there seem to be many stockists! I'd take into account that by buying the Chronomax, it'll be a keeper. If you ever try to sell it on, you'll lose a lot of cash ... or perhaps not even find a buyer!
