Interested to hear other peoples thoughts on this.

I've a couple of expensive watches; but I wear a Fortis every day.

Then I thougt I should have a "Don't have to take it off, wear anywhere - pool, beach etc" watch. So i bought a G Shock. Then, as I like mechanical watches, I bought a Seiko diver as a holiday watch and relegated the G Shock to other duties.

What do others do......?

Take one (or two) of my higher end watches plus a G Shock and a Seiko 007 diver for beach / slopping around.

And my running watch.

Very much depends on where I'm going, what I'll be doing, and what security there is where I'll be.

Most of the time I leave expensive watches at home and just take my Suunto & PRS20.

PAM 111 straight onto the rubber strap, though this summer I have finally got my hands on a black Suunto Ambit so that will be my watch of choice.

I take my cheap Timex watch on holiday, I couldn't face losing my Seiko even though I wear it every day normally.

Nothing has happened to it yet smile

I don't worry about it and take whichever watch I want.

Depends entirely on where we're going and what we're doing.

Anything from a Seiko SNDA67 or SNDC89P1 through to a Breitling or Omega.

On holiday I just wear the same watch as every other day. In fact I wear it (my only watch) in any circumstances where I want to wear a watch. But then it is a 12 year old Pulsar quartz that cost me £55. I'm waiting for it to cease working so that I can buy a new watch. Might then go crazy and spend nearer £100 .
