Richard Hammond's Watch on 007 Cars

Was that an Omega Speedmaster that Richard Hammond was wearing on last night tribute to the 007 cars ?

That's what I thought, although at some points he was wearing a different watch with a white face.

Speedmaster for most of it, though an orange strapped watch did appear at some times (think during time on Skyfall set). I was thinking maybe it was a PO?

The white faced watch I assumed to be a 'cheapy' for his Lotus dunking!

For most of the programme he's wearing an Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch. The white dial watch he wore in the Lotus was one of these, a Breitling Chrono Avenger in titanium:

Looks rather like a watch I bought for 5 euros in a French market...

But I quite like that watch... Still have it in a drawer but its got no battery in...

What speed master as I liked it on that show and looking for a new watch for my 40th shortly?
Had a look last week at a couple of tag Carreras but not too sure on them for the £4k any ideas ?

It was a Speedmaster Professional i.e. moon watch. What vintage and whether a 'Sapphire Sandwich' or Hesalite crystal it's impossible to say - they look pretty much identical when on the wrist at a quick glance.

Interesting and a lovely watch

As a matter of interest, does anyone know if there's anyway to tell an 861 from an 1861 without taking the back off?

Only thing I don't like about them is the feel of the wind - Not a patch on my Breitling or even my Seamaster 30...
