And the next one probably starts the following Monday...CH are like TM Lewin or DFS, when are they not having a sale or discount voucher scheme?
Agreed. It makes it very hard to look at their watches and consider them at full price knowing they'll be half-off later. Also makes me think me they're only 'worth' that half price too, rightly or wrongly.

so it's not as if they are doing anything unique..
And that's another problem, most of their watches are 'homages'. I got my BiL a C70 Chrono a couple of years ago and he is very happy with it. For me their prices have gone up too much recently and they have introduced too many homages. I would never spend £1k on a CW and at the £300 - £500 range I'd rather have a Hamilton, or a used Longines. But it would be a boring world if we were all the same...MG511 said:

Yes I agree most of their watches are copies that's for sure, which is a shame. I have three what I call 'nice' watches, which are all automatics. The CW C9 Harrison I have is a nice simple styled watch and I paid list for it (about £400). My Tag Carrera and Omega PO Titanium I paid about 25% under list for both, which shows even the more 'premium' brands can be had with a significant amount off the list price. Interestingly, the CW is the most accurate out of all three at about +3 seconds per day, with the Omega at +4 secs and the Tag at +8 secs even though the CW cost a fraction of the others..MG511 said:

Strange statement, why would you never spend £1k on a CW?MG511 said:

I guess I associate certain brands at certain price levels, Tissot under £500, Omega under £3k etc. Maybe not logical, but I don't care.SlackBladder said:
