Could anybody recommend a marine watch? It must have a display caseback and should be smaller than 40mm in diameter. Stowa would be great, but are they all 40mm or more? So far, I've only come up with a Steinhart Marine 38. What have I missed? Any other ideas?

Nominating a budget would be a good start!
Presume you're looking for an automatic with the windowed caseback requirement?
If the look of the Steinhart is what you're after, as opposed to a diver's watch with rotating bezel, then just look on chrono24 for all the watches that match 38mm or 39mm – there's nothing particularly "marine" about the Steinhart except the name.
Case design and dial design is ten a penny – so you'll not be stuck for choice.

I really like Steinharts "marine" line, the only thing that puts me off is the lack of water resistance

Excuse the thread necromancy, but I wondered if anyone had the Steinhart Marine 38 or – now it’s only available used – a similar watch. Must be affordably priced (i.e. no Dornblüths, sadly). Was the Steinhart Marine 38 the only 38mm marine automatic?
