Naive question

Looking at a sub date ceramic LV at an AD. They don't discount normally but if they have a display model is this what they class as un-registered and new and you have to pay list or is it reasonable to ask for money off these, like 10%?

I assumed when you bought new you had it brand new unopened.

I don't want to pay list if its been used as a demo.

Generally watches aren't classed as display models so woundn't attract a discount.

They don't generally sit in the window for long enough to command a discount!

My AD called to say they had a DSSD in and whilst they did offer to reserve it by the time I popped in that afternoon it had already had a deposit placed against it, & they then had to source another from group stock.

Certainly looking week to week in the window the stock moves very quickly!

Things like the LV, BLNR and DSSD as you say don't tend to hang around.

I've yet to see the new ceramic Pepsi GMT, was hoping Hamilton & Inches would give me a call when they got one but they were the victims of a recent robbery so no doubt have more pressing issues to hand.

I'm pretty sure i saw a ceramic pepsi GMT in the same window

false alarm, it was a blue and black ceramic; the pepsi is still due in and will be white gold.

I got 8% off my brand new 116610LV 3 years ago from my local AD. I didn't have to try particularly hard really.

Try looking at other AD's if your local isn't willing to do a deal.

Great choice though, I love mine.

Prices from Italy seem very favourable. I could fly there, have a weekend break, buy new from an AD and still have a wedge saved
