hello I seen my first 2014 Sea Dweller but I preferred the Submariner. The Dial face on the Sea Dweller look dull and the smaller than the Submariner. I wanted to like the Sea Dweller because it is rarer but I was underwhelmed.

However I seen a 2008 Sea Dweller and preferred it to a Submariner. Can someone tell me more about the 2008 Sea Dweller please?

How does the Helium escape valve work?

I also seen the new Pepsi GMT. it was stunning but not £25k worth.

Your thinking similar things to me.

I recently tried on the Sea Dweller 4000 and found it nice to wear but not "wow". I do like the fact that it has a nice clean glass and no inner rehaut proclaiming it has an original gas escapement valve ring lock system as on the 12.8k ft model.

I've been looking for a 16610LV for some time but never tried one on - but the black maxi dial with the green bezel is just lovely - coupled with the point that is was the 50th anniversary Sub. But finding one at a "reasonable" price in near mint condition is tricky.

I would also need to trade one or maybe two of my current watches in for this.

Would welcome opinions on both.

Unless you're a commercial diver chum I wouldn't worry about that. Public house atmospheres will not affect it.

The original was actually designed as a professional timepiece for work and I'm proud to say I've actually wet (rather than muff) dived in mine to test it biglaugh
