REC Watches, from recycled Minis.
Discussion
So, a relatively new (2014!) manufacturer, based in Copenhagen and basically make watches from recycled Minis. They includes the VIN number of the Mini that was used, stamped on the back. Pretty interesting, I think. Being a massive Mini nut, these are looking tempting.

Honestly struggling to see what exactly they're incorporating from the cars. About the only thing I can think is a disk from the body as the dial blank? They're certainly not using the gears unless they're very big watches!
A bit like Cloggau Gold "incorporating" Welsh gold in its jewellery - a gram or two of gold from Wales to each Kg of stuff from elsewhere!

That seems to be exactly it - the dial is made from old Mini steel. This is really just Romain-Jerome's DNA business model applied to car enthusiasts/Mini fans and at a more accessible priceA bit like Cloggau Gold "incorporating" Welsh gold in its jewellery - a gram or two of gold from Wales to each Kg of stuff from elsewhere!
