A Lange & Sohne Lange 1
Discussion
I haven't bought anything new (to me) in a while and currently have a load of sub £250 watches to get rid of, and doing the usual window shopping I keep on being drawn back to the Lange 1 time and time again.
I've previously bought something that I loved the look of (new Aviator released at Bselworld 2012 - couldn't see it in the flesh before buying though) and after wearing it a few times it now sits on the winder only to come out now and then, looked beautiful in the images, but not feeling the love much when wearing it.
I know the Lange 1 is a non-traditional style of watch, and certainly don't want to do the same thing with something costing this much - the price of a decent one (~£17k) would double the value of the collection.
Has anyone bought one and then sold it, feeling it was one of those watches that is made to be "photo model" rather than an owners favourite?
Sorry, I'm having fun trying to find a way to describe what I mean, some watches look beautiful in the close up, high res photos, but when you hold them all those lovely details are just too small to see and the watch as a whole then just sort of looks "ok", I've found the Aviator and a Tudor Black Bay both fall into that category.
