Hi, I've got an old (1980?) Le Jour chrono which I believe is a 7750 movement (though this is far from my area of expertise and am happy to be corrected).

While it keeps accurate enough time I've noticed that the minutes aren't being counted when on timer and I'd like to get this sorted.

1) What's the current recommendations for people who are happy to service these things independently? I've read that the movement is ubiquitous so assume this isn't going to be a problem?
2) I know it's impossible to put a price on a repair until someone has figured out what's wrong but what price is a service for something like this?
3) Slightly related, noticed that the 'sweep' of my Monaco isn't as smooth as I'd like either so assuming it could also do with some TLC. Guessing servicing doesn't do discounts for multiple watches but assume this is another 'easy' watch for a professional to service?

Ta!

Yes - it's a 7750 and easy to sort out. About a few hundred quid at a guess? The Monaco (another 7750?) should again be easy to sort out. I'd rec'd Richard at http://thewatchspotblog.com/ or http://www.watchworks.co.uk/about-us.html but there's plenty that'd sort/service them I reckon.

Nice choice of watch. I have the very similar Heuer pasedena, my minutes also don't count properly. I think everything upto about 15 is ok then sometimes they don't register. I also need to get my glass replaced as its cracked. Also keen to find some one that can sort it.
