Steinhart Ocean One Automatic
Discussion
Hi all, I'm looking for a little advice on the watch as per title. I've never heard of them but by all accounts, what I can find states that they are good watches. The one I'm looking at is the black face with black bezel insert. It's a second hand one I'm looking at, albeit it only a few months old, for £350 ono. I think it's a cracking looking watch.
I can't believe the resemblance to a Rolex, and at the back of my mind I'm thinking folk would see it and think I'm wearing a kid on watch! Haha.
I'd appreciate some words from the wise.

I have one, the Ocean Vintage GMT. It's well made for the price and a good-looking watch. Steinhart are very pleasant people to deal with, and you get a personal, if not particularly fast (they're a small operation), service from them. They produce their range in small batches, and sometimes these sell out quickly and can command a premium, but the watch you're after is currently in stock so you would be best to order direct from them.
Used to own an Ocean GMT, a fine watch for the £ and one of the best regulated watches I've owned. I passed it on because it wore slightly too large in diameter for my liking, it wasn't a big watch by modern standards however it just didn't look or feel quite right on the wrist - an entirely personal opinion, granted

Yeah it is that one! Seems like the guy is trying to make a small profit on it, unless he's paid over the odds for it?
Don't forget there are 2 bezel variants for that - aluminium or ceramic. Although the ceramic delivered is Euro395 new, so £350 is a bit 'optimistic'
I've got a GMT Ocean 1 Black and they're always sold out, so can attract a bit of a premium second-hand. The only negative I can say about mine is that one of the pins in the strap has a tendency to work itself loose, that I've never got round to fixing properly. Next time it flies off my wrist I might.

An opinion I share too, in regards my Ocean Vintage Military, which does feel a bit too heavy and bulky for my liking. Feels better on the Toshi strap I bought for it, but still not as comfortable as I'd like, or as comfortable as my Rolex Sub.
I'll probably move mine on at some point in the future.
Thanks for all the replies folks. It would seem that they are excellent watches for the money. It's a struggle finding a supplier in the UK, with only one coming up. If I go new, it'll possibly have to be direct from Steinhart.
I'm now drawn to the Ocean One Premium Blue. I think this is a lovely looking watch, and at £416 retail, it seems like brilliant value for money. The Ocean One Black is £274, which seems like an absolute bargain!!!
