I have been hankering after a Tudor Pelagos for quite a while and after trying one on recently I decided I'm going to pull the trigger. I just missed out on one on TZ which I'm gutted about as it was a great price. I would like to try and pick one up for around the £2k mark. Any ideas on where to try? I'd ideally like it in time for Xmas.

Remember ..."TZ" has its fair share of crooks there.

Really? I've yet to have a bad experience buying and selling on there. Plenty of honest enthusiasts selling some really nice watches at good prices.

I also messaged about the same Pelagos OP and missed out too. An honest seller I've had dealings with before. I see you've posted a WTB on TZ. Sit tight and one will show up at a nicer price than any dealer could offer.

You're going to need to elaborate on that. I have bought and sold dozens on there without any issues whatsoever. The levels of trust have been staggering in fact.

So where do you get your information?

I believe this dealer is well regarded and it is a good price for a new Pelagos. As always when buying over the internet, do your own due diligence and make sure you are comfortable with the transaction if you decide to proceed.

So, it I bought a watch from the shop in Italy mentioned in past above, and have as stated on their website paid VAT, do I need to pay VAT again when it comes into UK?

Nop - no extra VAT to pay when coming from with the EU.

so how long have you been a member there? if you have not heard about the scams and bad watches including stolen goods that have been sold on that forum over the last 7 years , then you need to look a little deeper !

there are some "Multiple" forum users there that are playing the "long game"

^^ If what you're saying is that TZ isn't somewhere where you can deal in confidence then you're talking tosh. Sure, do the due diligence thing and all that, however as yeti has already said the levels of trust can be quite outstanding sometimes.

I bought a watch a few weeks back, the seller contacted me to say that he'd be posting it later than agreed due to unforseen circumstances and offered to refund the money but still post the watch on the understanding that I'd then transfer the funds back when I received it. Untrustworthy? I don't think so.
