That Tissot is lovely.

I like TW Steel's. Have you looked at their Pilot? Not as chunky as the Canteen styles.

Not a huge fan of the TW Steel watches! Think I'll buy that Tissot I linked.

16mm thick? That's fairly chunky.

I can't help but think for the budget, you could have a better/nicer watch, pre-owned or new.
Must it be a chronograph though?

Here's a few options I'd look at sooner that pluming for the Tissot, especially as you're buying sight unseen.

https://www.chrono24.com/en/edox/class-1--id246494... – Ltd Edition and 13mm
https://www.chrono24.com/en/edox/iceman-iii-limite... – Ltd Edition and 15.5mm (if the thickness isn't an issue)
https://www.chrono24.com/en/fortis/b-42-day-date--... – automatic mechanical.
https://www.chrono24.com/en/mido/mutifort-automati... – a bit over budget, mechanical (but you might not fancy the prospect of facing a £300 or more service bill in 5 or so years time, since chronos are more expensive to service than a simple 3-hander)
https://www.chrono24.com/en/mido/ocean-star-os-cap... – simple 3-hander mechanical

And if you're looking for something completely different, then I can recommend this one, highly – again, a bit over your budget.

Mido is part of the Swatch Group, and you can buy them from the Swatch boutique in London, but you'll pay full retail and have to order – they're not a stock item nor actively distributed/sold in the UK.
So, if you're taking a punt blind, you may as well do so with a decent discount offered, just in case.

Some images here to give you a better idea of how it looks in the metal and with its lume activated – http://en.uhrenlounge.de/shop/mido-multifort-chron...

As some models have a bracelet, you could opt for one, if you fancied, at a later date – and being Mido, I would be very surprised if it was any more than £170, from the same source as the link in the previous post.

Longines Hydro Conquest would be my choice

Having recently been in your boat (I also own a tissot prc200) I would buy a longines hydroconquest. I got 10% off of mine which brought it down to £700.

A third recommendation for a Hydroconquest. There's really nothing to touch it at the price.

I bought mine after spotting a lengthy thread on here singing its praises!

Hmm......not fussed on the hour hand design on the Hydro, and when you look at it in the chrono version, which the OP might want the watch to have, then it's even worse looking and makes for legibility issues.

Another vote for the Hydroconquest only £90 more than your budget but worth every penny. I have just bought one for my son in law for Xmas

http://www.chrono24.com/en/mido/mutifort-automatic... - I REALLY like this one, I can't justify that much though unfortunately frown

Wasn't a huge fan of any of the others, I've found a quartz movement Tissot PRC200, it is nearly half my max budget!

http://www.watchshop.com/mens-tissot-prc200-chrono...

I quite like the HydroConquest also, which is a 41mm case.

I'll keep looking, don't want to rush into it as it's more than I've spent before on a watch!

Do you really want to buy a quartz. Proper movement is the way to go
