Apologies in advance if this is a daft question.. I've seen a few decent watches for sale in Russia on online auction sites Etc.
Bearing in mind the protection offered by paypal or visa, Im sorely tempted to take a punt. After all if its not what it says it is I'll be protected right?
Anyone done similar & am I missing any obvious pitfalls ? I've already checked out import duty side of things..

I am thinking - why not buy from a reputable source via a site like chrono24 and use their escrow services.

You can't go wrong with ebay if you are the buyer.

Is it a Vostok Amphibian ?

If you are around to 50-60 pound mark with Russian watches the straps / bracelets are absolute junk and you'll need to factor in a replacement.

I wouldn't spend more on a Russian watch, if you start looking at the Chronographs there are better alternatives, Hamilton especially.

Did you deliberately write the title in a Russian accent?

Thanks for the advice, it was a used example I was looking at, but I missed it. However I ordered a Vostok as mentioned, for a bit of fun, reviews seem fairly positive!
