Any pointers that make you certain? The serial number on the case looks to me like it is factory and the clasp etchings also.
I do not 'know' this particular model so I couldn't be sure that I am not being suckered in!

I doubt he would have the correct tool to take the back off and I guess this would mean an expensive re-seal?
Does anyone know the value of these in good condition or should I just get the feel of pricing on Ebay?
Caution alert: I understand that some fakes are now really good. Some even come complete with the box and papers - just like the real thing.
If the current owner bought from a good high st jeweller/authorised dealer, they should at time of sale have given him a valuation letter for insurance purposes. If the seller can produce this letter, it would be a definite plus.
However, the only sure way is to take it to an official dealer and have them look at it.

Good point, I will ask if he has the original receipt as it would still be in warranty, I guess, being that it is a 2014 model. If the current owner bought from a good high st jeweller/authorised dealer, they should at time of sale have given him a valuation letter for insurance purposes. If it is real then I don't like the look of the new style bracelet! Mine is from 2005, so older style Seamaster
Isn't that a quartz Seamaster, hence the different bracelet? My 2013 automatic has a different bracelet (which I also prefer to the one in the pics).Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
