Watch service - London
Discussion
I have a Sinn 556 which has stopped after I dropped it on a hard floor... It has an ETA movement so am happy to take it to an indie. Can anyone recommend a service/repair bod in Central or SW London for ease of access?
Also, assuming I have damaged the balance staff, does anyone know how much my mishap is likely to cost me?!

Darius at the Clock Gallery in Ealing will fix it and won't over charge you for doing so.

Can't answer for London prices but, as a general guide, up here on Anglesey we'd charge about £75 for service if the balance was ok, £125 with a staff replacement, or £150 with a complete balance.
It's likely that the staff will be ok, btw - it's more likely that either the shock protection has popped (as it's designed to on hard shocks) or the balance has "over-banked" (jumped and ended on the wrong side of the pallet fork). Either would stop it dead and both are simple, quick, and relatively cheap repairs in their own right.
