My TAG Carrera has been out of action for a couple of years now and I've tried any number of avenues to get it repaired at a price I can afford. It has much greater sentimental value than actual value and I would have loved to lavish the £800 my local TAG dealer wanted to replace the stem and glass, but I simply couldn't.
Step in Variomatic (Joe) - my watch went in the post to him last Saturday and is back on my wrist today looking like new for much, much, much less than the quote above. I have been hugely nervous about sending it away because sentimentally it is worth more to me broken than lost or botched, but once again PH has come up trumps (the watch itself came from Dom H originally).
