Hirsch Caoutchouc
Discussion
Decided to buy one of these eye-wateringly expensive 'natural rubber' straps from Hirsch under the assumption it would be waterproof. Rubber = waterproof right?
The thing has arrived and says on the packet it's 'water resistant & sauna tested'.
Do you think this is them covering their ass or will I find it falling to bits if I wear it swimming?
Anyone got any experience with them?
Cheers,
Tim

I've a caoutchouc dive strap on my Ball Hydrocarbon Mad Cow which was recently subjected to a week of swimming, snorkeling, jet-skiing, sailing and a spilt G&T. I didn't always rinse the thing after salt-water immersion either, and both watch and strap are fine. Probably an arse-covering exercise as you say.
