Watch roll or travel pouch

I'm off to the US for 6 weeks when I graduate and wouldn't mind taking a few watches with me.
I fancy a watch roll of some variety, I don't like what a box with pillows in does to leather straps. I've seen the ones on Hodinkee but as lovely as they are they're very expensive.
Any suggestions?
