I was rather taken with a picture of a SARB035, but a quick search for other pictures gives a wildly varying dial colour from brilliant white to a lovely, almost patina, cream. Any idea what the colour is in real life, and expected UK price? Thanks.

Looks fairly plain to me
I got a SARB017 from seiya and it's beautifully finished

Off-white/vintage(?) white.
Not officially imported by Seiko UK, so no price – you'll have to import yourself from Germany, but the best price will be from Japan.
Try Seiya Japan or c-watch, or solo japan on ebay.es.
Don't worry about warranty if new - 1 yr standard international, and Seiko UK can service and order parts/links, if need be.

I have one in my box and an 033 black too. Great finishing and value for money I reckon.
As to your question on dial colour, the poster above hit the nail on the head, it's kind of a vintage white (with a cream tint). In direct sunlight, its essentially white but indoors or in shade, it's cream.
I don't think you'll be disappointed if you choose one to be honest.

FYI JDM Seiko models ship from Japan and they're a bit more honest on the customs declaration so you will pay the VAT and handling fees on it. Won't be as quick either.

£175 from here - http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/seiko3s/item/sa...

I've dealt with this seller on Rakuten before, you send the purchase request and they invoice you back with the postage amount which is about £10, you'll pay customs but it will come to about £240 which is still cheaper than creation to start off with.
