It's Sarahs Birthday coming up soon, it's not a special birthday or anything (I already know what I'm getting her for her 30th) but I always tend to get her a watch, luckily it's one of the many hobbies we share, some of the more successful ones have been a Vostock, Tag (sorry Michael) and a swatch.

She want's one of the new Swatch Autos but I can't bring myself to A buy her a watch so similar to her existing Swatch and B spend more than £50 on a Swatch, besides which chances are her Mum will buy it and save me having to grit my teeth!

She generally likes sports watches and likes all of mine (Breitling colt, Seamaster, SKX007, Citizen Pro something or other) likes Steel, rubber, leather and nato bracelets so I was considering an SKX007 on a leather Nato or Jubilee as it's a bit more delicate than my super oyster strap, but while she's 6ft tall whenever she's put my SKX on it does look a little bit too big, as does the Citizen which while slightly smaller than the Seiko it's just a bit too big (hence me ending up with it as I bought it for her really).

Is there a midsize version of the SKX? I don't want a small or ladies version as it will be too small (unless it's really nice) and I do want Auto.

The other option is totally different, she's just become a teacher after a hard years studying so I wouldn't mind getting her something like this:

Might be nice for her to wear with a suit but as much as I love her £13500 is a little out of budget.

I'm looking at circa £50-200, used or vintage is absolutely fine.

Any suggestions?

L - R SKX013, SKX023, SBCM023, SKX031, SKX007

All no longer made bar the 007, but you should be able to find a used SKX013 or SKX031 on ebay. The others are very hard to find.

The SKX 013 is ~39mm with 20mm lugs. Compared to the SKX 007 (modified bezel, hands and date/day wheels in above picture ) the case has slightly sharper edges; the DIVER's 200m script is more orange and the hour marker is more rounded. However, you would have to have them side by side to notice. Same 7S26 mech as well.
