Help finding a minimalist watch

Seiko SARB035 might fit the bill. Have a look at this thread:

Reviews report it's a really well finished watch for the money.

I'd say Christopher Ward offer pretty much exactly what you're looking for:

Albeit £50 over budget with the bracelet, although the leather strap versions are £200. It's quartz rather than mechanical if that matters (don't remember seeing a preference in the original post).
Edit: "Pretty much exactly". Excellent writing there

I can't vouch for them but a former workmate had one and it seemed okay for the price that they are.

I've got a couple of Christopher Ward watches and a few years ago would've recommended them straightaway. I can't do that with their current pricing structure as I don't consider them value for money any longer (but that's my opinion
).

).I knew I'd seen a Uniform Wares clone somewhere with a thin mesh strap. Tsovet svt-sc38. Available for £200 and seems to fit the bill.

A friend of mine works for Braun and they all get to choose one of these. He is really snobby about it and barely ever wears it because it is not his normal watch. I really like them. How about this , had mine a year and very happy , even has sapphire glass and only 99 quid
