Hm. I'm torn. I love the fact that you can see it all but don't like tiny faces. Wish they'd just put big hands without numerals/markers.

I've pondered a watch that is just a movement but doesn't actually tell the time or anything useful. Truly the sign of a rich person who no longer needs to be ruled by appointments. Or can always rely on his butler to tell him what the time is or where he should be. biggrin

I wish, I just love the history of this brand, I got this for me, because I love it, I don't normally like yellow gold but as a dress watch it works for me.

Working my way up to a Tourbillon. One day.

Yeah, don't get me wrong - I wouldn't say no to owning a Breguet.

How about a gyrotourbillon? https://youtu.be/Ij0WD_7o-To Because moving in 2 dimensions is so last century!

biggrin It is the ultimate. I'd never get anything done if I owned one. I just watch it for ages.

Really don't like it Ash, Glashutte do a far better job when it comes to pretty movements at not to stupid prices.

Maybe, but I wanted to buy heritage, a history.

Look what Breguet have achieved, its not just about "the best looking" for me.

I still have my Daytona, love it. Again, purchased for what it is smile

I started buying watches as an investment, a just in case, so we could readily get cash if the need arose, but I just could not bring myself to sell any of my watches.

Anyway, bugger off Adrian, no birthday wishes for you tomorrow wink

I appreciate it, but I don't think I like it. Irrelevant of course. If the OP likes it, that's really all that matters. I really hope he enjoys it for many years to come as he obviously does like it. It's not to my personal taste, but I can enjoy the workmanship in the movement.

I love these, my favourite Breguet, but as a watchmaker I'm generally more interested in seeing the movement rather than the dial or having a ceramic bezel or what have you.

If I ever made my own watch I think it would be similar. People would ask me "what's the time?" and I'd reply "I have absolutely no idea, but check out how cool my watch is!" hehe

Really like Roger Smith's Series II with open dial, too:
