Blancpain - Talk to me
Discussion
Hoping to get some views from anyone who has experience of this brand. Doesn't seem to get a lot of forum mentions? Interested in a Fifty fathoms bathyscaphe, as an alternative to the Rolex Sub sports watch. Their website seems quite confusing - lots of options that appear the same, save for the Nato or Sail cloth strap and case material, steel or ceramic. Which model is the one to go for?
Cheers for any help.

I have a moonphase, which I love. They keep parts in their own network so no-one else can service them but that's now done in Southampton as opposed to Switzerland. Colleague has a 50 fathoms which he loves. The shop on bond St is really nice and the people friendly although the girl at the boutique in the airport in Nice is worth the visit! Don't go to the service dept on selfridges ground floor as they're useless!
Other than that, I can't give you any more info I'm afraid. My pal has the divers watch and it's a huge beast (so is he) and wouldn't look right on my girly arms. He did mention that his metal strap scratched easily but he is very clumsy so that may be why

I have a 2185 Flyback. Really beautifully made watch with exquisite details. The bracelet is the best in the business IMO.
If you have big wrists, going for the larger models would be a good idea as they feel and look smaller on the wrist than you'd expect.
I have to say I'm less keen on the newer models (big dates etc).
