I have wanted one of these since they released them but before I pull the trigger and buy one of these, does anyone have any final suggestions for places to buy them? I have negotiated down to EUR1477 inc shipping from ACE in Amsterdam. Could be shipped immediately so will arrive in two or three days.

Also, anyone have any comments on how the strap is in day to day use? I have tried one on a few times and found it to be ok, but everyone says that it lets the watch down.

Any other general comments?

They're not the most hard wearing of straps in my opinion, I'd recommend getting a deployant clasp if you're thinking of going ahead with it. I've recent sold my LLD as it wasn't part of my normal rotation, the strap was showing obvious signs of wear where it was normally threaded through the buckle.

Great watch though, and despite the wear and tear I thought the strap suited the watch well, looked great and was very comfortable. There are plenty of other straps out there that suit it should you wish.

As for where to buy, they list at £1380 in the UK (I think) so the price you've been quoted sounds like a good deal to me.

Thanks for your reply! Bought it. Have it on my wrist now and it's nice and shiny. I think the consensus amongst other owners is that you should wear it on the original strap until it no longer looks nice and then upgrade it a little bit. Very happy with purchase anyway and for now the strap looks great!

I have a date model which I got from Goldsths using my Tesco vouchers which at the time Goldsmiths were doing for 4 times the value ( I had £300 of vouchers = £1200) .
Love the watch and the strap is showing signs of wear but I do not wear it as a daily so it will take ages to wear out.
The box is huge !!

It's the date one. I couldn't find the non date anywhere, I'm not sure they make them anymore. I love it.

I love mine. I got it when it first came out (non date) - I was on my bike and wasn't prepared for the size of the box... not very easy to cycle home with!!

I really like the OEM strap, too - I find them pretty good in terms of durability, I'm on my third. (replaced original one with the 'medium' length because it came with a 'large' then got another medium when that wore out a bit) Replacements can be had from here

Though it says the buckle isn't included, it always is whenever I've bought one from here.

Cheers

Thanks for the heads up. On third day of wearing it now and think that the oem strap looks great.
