I've been looking at replacing my cheapo two watch winder with something a bit better looking.

Ideally it must hold no fewer than 6 watches and I quite like the idea that I can put cufflinks etc in it too.

I've been considering the Barrington one below but at the best part of £700 I wanted to ensure there's nothing better out there

https://www.barringtonwatchwinders.com/watch-winde...

I'm happy to buy 6 separate winders, so long as they can join together and be powered by one power source too.

Any suggestions please, I don't really want to pay more than £700?

I have a Barrington and I too deliberated in detail about the choice but at point of buying I felt they offered the best 'value' proposition. They look good and they have all the features I was after in a winder (individually programmable winders, variable TPD settings, variable directional settings etc.). 6 months later I'm pleased with my decision but if I had one small gripe I would say it was that it's a shame they can't be operated by batteries. I mean, it's only 6 motors so how much battery power could that take? Anyway, I'm still happy to give the unit a strong endorsement.

Thanks Aquarius, that's lucky as mine arrives in about an hour...

Shouldn't all the watches be showing the same time? Or am I missing the point of a winder?

Valid point and wondered when someone would notice. I stuck them on the wonder and went away for the weekend, they're now all showing the correct time and date

Glad you like the Barringtons.

I'll pass it on as he is a client of mine, who found me here on PH.

It's a small world isnt it.

Thanks, I've emailed them a testimonial for their new website as they really couldn't have been more helpful.

Sorry to piggyback, but my £100 Amazon bought 4-watch winder bought by my late-wife last Xmas has broken. Just stopped spinning. I got a refund but now would like something more reliable that spins about 8 watches, but doesn't cost £5-600 pounds. Does this proposition exist?
Thanks
Andy

Not that I managed to find, or I'd have given it a go. I'm hopeful that mine will last some years and so long as the company exists they can service it if anything goes wrong. Yes, it was a fair amount of money but it also looks good and justifies the price to me.

Plenty of 8 watch winders on eBay – just because they’re from the Far East doesn’t necessarily mean they’re rubbish, but there probably is an element of getting what you paid for.
Personally, I’d have 2x 4 watch winders, in case one craps out.

I bought my brother a Wolf Watch winder from a company called www.watch-winder.co.uk. They have a wide range. Worth a look.

Oh wow! Just seen this now. That is a very handsome piece. I like the backing material there behind the rotors - what is that?

For anyone interested, Barrington currently have a 15% discount if you sign up for their newsletter. No, I'm not on commission, just a happy customer.

I'm hoping Santa drops one off at the end of the month as I've dropped enough hints.

Merry Xmas guys, the wife did good this year

Very very impressed with the quality of this, the carbon style inside is very nice I thought it would be cheap nasty dynoc but it's soft feel material, only snag is the Panerai has a huge Sub buckle and it only just fits.
Very happy no got to find somewhere to put it.

Very nice Barry, my IWC is much the same and only just fits.

A tip I got from Barrington is to select single direction rotation as when I had it on multi-direction my watches wouldn't stay wound

Been looking for a double watch winder for a while and this thread has helped hugely. So on the strength of the above comments have just ordered a 2 watch winder from Barringtons as per the pic. Can't wait...
