Just got my new-to-me Magrette Bronze delivered, and put a new strap on it. It was a thread on here which alerted me to these. Long story short, Magrette ordered some bronze cases, and the faces with the word "bronze" on them, but when the cases turned up they were brass. As in, the same stuff musical instruments are made from. They canvassed opionion and decided to go with it, and made 1000 of these, each one individually numbered.

I hunted one down in Texas, did deal with the guy and had it sent over. I'm really rather pleased with it! The back is glass but with a piece of wood from a rare Kiwi tree inside.

Obviously the basic design owes a deep debt of gratitude to a certain other brand, but with the different coloured metal and face, it's suitable different for me to not be a straight copy.

Couple of quick phone shots:

Interesting watch! What's the source of those 3 bobbles down towards the 6 o-clock position? A protective film on the crystal or an issue with the crystal itself?
