He managed to fix a watch of mine with a very fast turnaround. He spotted a broken wire on the coil.

'Course, I had to do the hard bit of putting the straps back on.

Hard because I launched a springbar across the room and then spent 30 minutes hunting for it.

Rolex Oysterquartz, I'm hoping.

It'd be nice to find someone who's not Rolex who's happy to do some work on them laugh

I just have a nice microscope and know where to point it, Hoofy wink

It wasn't an Oysterquartz this time but don't have a problem working on them provided, as usual with Rolex, that no parts are required. Thankfully, as long as they haven't been accident-damaged or bodged it's not usually an issue.

Haha. No, not as expensive but might be as rare as an Oysterquartz, though?

I it's not now, it will be one day. People tend to keep Rolei going or pass them on, many other brands just get binned. So keep it going and one day it'll be a lone survivor wink

How many PRS-27Bs were made, then?

There are definitely fewer PRS-27Bs than Rolex Oysterquartzes laugh

The Oysterquartz Datejust and especially Day-Date are pretty rare though, and particularly compared to the automatic Rolex equivalents
