Another "suggest a watch" thread
Discussion
I fancy starting the new year with a new watch - I currently have two I switch between, and feel that three is the magic number. (Technically, I have four watches in total, but I haven't worn the two Tags I own for a few years).
Currently, I have this :

and this :

I like this Omega - but I think it might be a tad too similar to the Breguet in style :

I suddenly had the brainwave that maybe a rectangular shaped watch would make a nice change but a search on Chrono24 didn't inspire me. Definitely open to suggestions about rectangle watches though.
Budget is ~£5k (and used is fine) but could be a bit higher for something I fall in love with.

What about a chunkier sports watch to introduce a new style. You have the dressier Breguet and the Daytona is still quite smart/dressy for a Chromo thanks to it's slim design and polished finishes.
I think a really nice addition to your collection would be a Rolex GMT BLNR. Maybe £5.5k-£6.0k from European sellers on Chrono24.

I see, in which case if you want to stick to that sort of style it'd be worth taking a look through the suggestions in the other thread.

I like Zenith a lot, I think it's a really under-appreciated brand - which means you can get some really interesting watches for pretty sensible money.
Also IWC are a great brand and might be worth looking through if you haven't already - the poster in there showed some good ones.

The zenith chronomaster is a definite contender. Quite like the white dial in the link but there are a few on chrono24 with black dial which is nice. Will try and see one in the flesh.
If you like the Chronomaster, check out the latest Chronomaster 1969 ...
... or the El Primero 1969 reissue, if you prefer not to have an 'open heart' dial:

I like the open heart look (always wanted a skeleton style watch) and think I like the grande date style the most. Only problem is, they seem to be big watches 45mm diameter and 17mm high which is a lot bigger than my existing watches and I'm not usually a fan of big watches even though I know it's the trend these days. I may try and find something in town of a similar size so I can see how it will look on my wrist before I pursue this seriously - I think it will be too big.
I would quite like a JLC and hope to get up to London in the near future so will definitely try one on.
